Opportunity # 1:
Position Available: Field Service Technician
DYMAX seeks qualified, service-oriented individuals to perform maintenance,
testing and troubleshooting of electrical power distribution systems such as
substation maintenance and testing services for circuit breakers, transformers
and protective relays. Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility will be to test, inspect and
troubleshoot electrical equipment and apparatus for
heavy power using clients, 80% being industrial clients.
- Expected to operate all types of test equipment and
be able to manage small sized projects.
- Communicate with clients, management and their team
for effective problem resolution and transfer of
pertinent information.
- Perform electrical apparatus testing which includes
but is not limited to instrument transformer testing,
power transformer testing, automatic transfer switch
troubleshooting and testing, power meter calibration and
high, medium and low voltage circuit breaker testing
(various testing about 80%).
- Perform required testing and troubleshooting of
complex electrical systems, complex relay systems and
power quality metering for our clients.
- Perform start-up services on switchgear equipment up
through the 230kV class.
- Conduct exceptional client communication to
potentially expand the scope of project work as well as
negotiate any extra charges associated with work
performed.
- Ability to perform all functions pertaining to a
written job proposal.
- Expected to report to the Shop Supervisor regarding
client projects.
Requirements:
- Graduate of 2 year Electrical Technical School
but experience will outweigh educational background.
- Level 2 or Level 3 NETA certification desired.
- Strong background in electrical power including
low voltage through the 230kV class and experience
with most types of switchgear testing required.
- Knowledge of all applicable codes and industry
standards such as NETA, OSHA and NFPA.
- Experienced in performing extensive testing,
problem identification and troubleshooting within
heavy power using client accounts.
- Good theoretical understanding of electrical
power systems and a good aptitude for problem
solving.
- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing
with customers and peers.
- Dependable and responsible with good judgment
and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service, time management and
follow-up skills.
- Work effectively with customers, peers and
management to resolve client issues.
- Excellent computer skills with working knowledge
of Windows XP, Microsoft Office and Outlook. Strong
skills in Excel, Word and Access with the ability to
generate detailed reports. Use of Internet for
standards/
products/manufacturer research and operation of
computer controlled test equipment.
- Work will require flexible hours, weekends,
holidays and night work. Must be available for
out-of-town work.
- Valid Driver’s License and capable of holding a
Commercial Drivers License.

Opportunity # 2:
Position Available: High Voltage Technician/Oil
Rig Operator.
DYMAX is seeking a qualified, service-oriented
individual to perform operation, maintenance, and
troubleshooting of Hot Oil Processing Rigs and Rig’s
Systems and Portable Filtration Systems.
Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility will be to perform
trouble shooting, electrical / fluid testing,
repairs and fluid services of transformers,
rectifiers, regulators and high voltage
components.
- Perform trouble shooting, electrical
testing, repairs to Hot Oil Processors and
onboard systems.
- Pumps / motors
- Vacuum systems
- Indirect fuel fired furnaces
- Generators
- Filtration systems
- Communicate with clients, peers and
management for effective problem resolution
and transfer of pertinent information.
- Maintain strong client relationships,
prepare project estimates, expand project
work scopes and assist in negotiating extra
charges.
- Ability to walk through customers sites,
inspect problem(s) and report problem(s) to
Sales and Project Management.
Requirements:
- Five years minimum same or similar
work experience.
- Knowledge of the National Electrical
Code and various industry standards,
such as NETA, OSHA, IEEE and NFPA.
- Strong background and experience in
most types of high voltage equipment
through the 230 kV class.
- Good theoretical understanding of
electrical power systems and good
aptitude for problem evaluations.
- Strong mechanical and electrical
aptitude.
- Ability to complete on-site job
reports.
- Communicate effectively in writing
and/or verbally with clients and peers.
- Good judgment, dependable, and
responsible for managing projects of any
size which requires good supervisory and
organizational skills.
- Entry level computer skills.
- Travel required: two (2) full weeks
on and one (1) week off.
- Valid driver’s license with a Class
A CDL.
